Acknowledgement
of Risk
Motorsport is
dangerous and can involve injury or death. Despite Aston Martin taking all
reasonable precautions, accidents can happen. By attending one of our courses,
you acknowledge this and confirm that you are aware of the nature of the
activity and attend at the venue at your own risk.
General
safety
- Any driver or passenger going out on
track must first sign-on and wear the appropriate wristband
- You must attend a Safety Briefing
- Please be aware when your driving
sessions are
- You must wear a correctly fastened
helmet on track at all times
- Whilst driving Aston Martin’s own
cars, you will also be wearing one of our helmets with a built-in intercom
system for better in car communication with your instructor
- Please make sure you and your guests
take care in the pit lane
- Make sure your seat is positioned
correctly and your seat belt is fastened
- No smoking in pits/pit lane, please do
this out in the paddock area
- No children under 16 allowed in pit
lane
- There are refreshments available all
day – please ensure you keep yourself hydrated, if you feel tired come back to
the pits
- Please do not hesitate to ask
questions, we are here to support you
On track
- Please be aware of other cars when
leaving or entering back into the pit lane
- There is a 20 MPH (30 KPH) pit lane
speed limit
- Start steadily and build up your speed
gradually, even if you feel you are experienced on track please give yourself
time to get used to the track and the car and let the tyres and brakes warm up
- The AMR Instructors are here to care
for your safety above all else, if we feel you are not listening to them or
following safety instructions then we reserve the right to call time on your
day
- Look ahead at all times
- Relax but concentrate and drive
smoothly
- Keep a safe distance from other cars
(unless overtaking)
- If you spin, press the brakes hard
until the car comes to a stop
- If you have a mechanical problem or
off track excursion return to pits if safe to do so, alternatively pull off the
track and await assistance
- Cool your brakes before you return to
pits
- When in the pit lane, please be guided
by our members of staff who will show where to park
- Remember to keep our cars, instructors
and yourselves safe!
