Vehicle Checks

If you have booked a Performance Course in your own car for this event, here’s some guidance of a few things to check:

- Car check over: A basic pre-event check of simple things such as; vehicle fluid levels, brake pads and tyre tread depths is advised

- Helmets: You are welcome to use your own helmet if you have one. For any instruction sessions and for those doing a Performance+ Course we will ask you to use our helmets as your instructor will also use these together with an intercom system for good communication

- Fuel: We would recommend starting the day with a full tank of fuel. Fuel will be available on site during the day which can be purchased via credit card on the day

- Towing eye: Please remember to bring your towing eye (usually found in a storage compartment within your car), which should be fitted for when on circuit in case for any reason the car should need recovering by the safety crew

- Luggage: We would also advise you to keep your cars empty of luggage whilst on circuit

For your peace of mind, will also be giving a simple technical inspection of your cars on the day of the event before they go on track as part of our service. Throughout the day, our technicians will be on hand to continue with these checks. Please arrive promptly at the time requested to ensure no delays in your schedule.

Track Insurance

When using an Aston Martin owned vehicle on circuit, you are covered by us in respect of any damage to the vehicle. Unless otherwise agreed, drivers in Aston Martin vehicles must be a minimum of 25 years old.

When using your own car on track, Aston Martin recommend you have insurance cover in place. However, whilst track day accidents are rare, by using your car on track you do so at your own risk. It is entirely your choice as to whether you procure insurance.

It is unlikely that your normal car insurance policy will cover you for a track day, but you should check with your insurer. If you explain that the track day is non-competitive, they may extend your cover for an additional charge. Alternatively there are specialist insurance companies who provide track day insurance.

AMR Drivers' Club Instructors

Our team of AMR Instructors are some of the most experienced in the industry. All of our instructors are ARDS (Association of Racing Drivers Schools) or equivalent licenced with a competition background; they are all race and championship winners in their own right. They have years of experience from instructing track beginners to coaching experienced competitors. They will offer you advice during your driving course. Please listen and follow this advice; it is always designed to make you a safer, more competent and ultimately faster driver.
